Share templates & folders with members

Share templates and folders with members to explicitly grant read or write access to one template or all templates in a folder.

After a user has been added as a Member to the Workspace, they can be given access to read/modify select Templates or Folders.

Template and Folder sharing Permissions

Owner, Admin, or Manager can share a Template or a Folder with a Member by assigning either Read Only or Edit permission.

With Read Only permission a member can only see the contents of a folder/template and can generate documents from a template.

With Edit permission, the member will be able to perform all operations on the template/folder equivalent to that of a Manager/Owner/Admin, i.e., they can edit folder name, template preferences, upload new version of template, configure deliveries, test, generate, bulk merge, etc.

Sharing folder with a member:

  1. Hover on the template to be shared in templates list page

  2. Click on the share icon

  3. Search for users

  4. Update the permission and submit

  2. Click on the share icon

  3. Search for users

  4. Update the permission and submit

Update sharing permissions

Owner/Admins/Managers can update permissions of previously shared Templates and Folders. For example, changing a member permission from Read to Write or vice versa.

To change permissions:

  1. Click on the Folder/Template share icon

  2. Find the user for which the permission needs to be updated

  3. Choose new value from the permission dropdown.

  4. It will be saved upon changing.

To revoke access to Folder/Template for a Member:

  • Click on the Folder/Template share icon

  • Find the user whose access needs to be removed.

  • Click on the X icon against user details to remove access.
